From inspiring keynotes and panels to memorable networking opportunities, and the popular “Denim & Diamonds” Awards Gala, Corus Orthodontists held its inaugural full-network event. This was the very first time the entire team got to ‘connect’ with colleagues and partners—showcasing how the network truly is ‘better together’.
Phoenix, Arizona—known for its beautiful sunshine and green deserts, is now where Corus Connect called home this past November. Corus has always made people and making genuine connections a priority. However, having been founded in 2019, right before the pandemic, large-scale in-person gatherings were nothing but a far-reaching dream. Three years later, that dream became reality as Corus Connect brought over 600 attendees together from across their North American network.
Themed as “Better Together,” we sought to achieve some shared common goals: to build community, connection, and camaraderie with a dash of learning opportunities on the side. For many, it was the first-time meeting colleagues face-to-face, sharing best practices, and learning from industry leaders.
Sharing Knowledge While Building Community
It was a feast of knowledge as attendees soaked up as much content and new learnings as possible. One exceptional highlight included Corus CEO, Paul Helpard who gave an inspiring keynote that made attendees focus on the power of experiences and how we impact and delight our patients on the daily.
We hosted a special full-day program for our partners and associate doctors. With a jam-packed agenda, it was great time to connect as a group, exchange ideas, and support one another with their toughest challenges.
Then we were off to the races as multiple breakout sessions gave everyone the chance to hone their skills and learn about best practices and trends that impact their specific roles. And what’s a conference without the ability to mix and mingle? So many great opportunities for attendees to come together with colleagues—and get acquainted by bringing the macarena back to the dance floor!
Recognizing Excellence
It was a weekend of many firsts, and Corus would not be where we are today without some incredibly talented people. The Denim & Diamonds Dinner & Awards Gala was truly a star-studded event that had heads turning with our sparkly denim outfits as we recognized those individuals across our network who are doing incredible things every day. We also recognized our first winner of the Corus Case Competition, recognizing doctors and teams who proved that when they come together, they can help our patients no matter how challenging.
And why stop the fun there? We also dished out some awards recognizing the best threads and the team with the most spirit! From custom team t-shirts to full costumes and ensembles, they did not disappoint with their creativity. All our winners (serious and fun) truly exemplified our Corus values, and we couldn’t be prouder of their accomplishments.
What’s Next for Corus?
Corus Connect proved the value of being Better Together. The network joined together as one, shared their insights, and built valuable connections with one another. What could be better? Only one this is for sure: more time together!
